A multinational agricultural group with head offices in Johannesburg is looking for an Agronomist to join the team in Zambia.
Key responsibilities:
Provide professional fertilization and agronomic advice to farming enterprises
Provide strategic support to the representatives/agents
Work in close cooperation with Regional Management
Function as an integral part of and be central to the Marketing model.
Qualifications:
A minimum of a BSc (Agric) with Botany and Soil science or majoring in Agronomy
Experience required:
3 - 5 Years experience in a similar position
Skills required:
Sound knowledge of fertilizer and chemical products with fertilization recommendations in mind
Excellent language skills (verbal and written)
Presentation skills
Computer literacy
Interest in a dynamic marketing environment
Good grasp of the concepts of “client needs” and “adding value”.
