We are inviting candidates with experience in the Hospitality/ Mining/ Construction industry with strong managerial experience and a touch, yet fair management style to apply for this position with our client in the Johannesburg. We are looking for a personality fit, as much as we need someone with the knowledge of this sector. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with a lot of travel. Introduction: Reporting to the MD, this position's primary responsibility is ensuring operational effectiveness at all sites distributed in the North Region. Working with the Senior Management team the position also contributes to the development and implementation of organisational strategies, policies and practices. Job Requirements:

At least 3 years' experience in Operations Management
Previous experience within the Cleaning Industry will be advantageous
Hours of work are not restricted to normal working hours - must have the ability to work additional hours and be flexible with working hours as requested.
Previous experience with Total Quality Management system would be advantageous
Must be a good communicator with clients, management and staff
Must be willing to travel between various sites
Own reliable transport essential

Summary of responsibilities:

Generate new business within the region
Act as client Liaison
Ensure that the area and/or division budgets are managed
Manage individual and team performances
Manage workplace climate and culture at the various sites within the region
Ensure utilisation and maintenance of operational machinery, equipment and technology
Led and managed team in producing a food safe area/ division
Managed and achieved area/division budget
Led and initiated EQS process, documentation completion and procedure compliance.
Represent operations at Exco.
