Agronomist - Cotton Farming - Northern Sudan

We are looking to recruit an English-speaking experienced Agronomist for a large agricultural operation in Northern Sudan.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working in Africa, advising to Large Scale Agriculture Farms.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide professional fertilisation and agronomic advice to farming enterprises

• Provide strategic support to ther representatives/agents

• Work in close cooperation with Regional Management

• Function as an integral part of and be central to the Marketing model.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Agriculture specialising in Botany and Soil science, preferably majoring in Agronomy

Experience required

• Cotton farming

Skills required:

• Sound knowledge of fertiliser and chemical products with fertilisation recommendations in mind

• Excellent language skills (verbal and written)

• Presentation skills

• Computer literacy

• Interest in a dynamic marketing environment

• Good grasp of the concepts of “client needs” and “adding value”.

Benefits:
